Welcome to Kubexer Terminal

Kubexer Terminal is an SSH client and local terminal in one app. Your hosts and credentials live in encrypted vaults, and every connection opens as a tab you can split, search, record and browse with SFTP. This page shows where everything is.

The top bar

Home (the house icon) — the start page. See Home page & widgets.
Local Terminals (the laptop icon) — shells running on this computer, outside any vault.
Vault tabs — each vault you open gets its own tab. Closing one ends its terminals, and the app asks first if any are running.
Counters — live terminals and running port forwards for the vault you are in. See Top-nav counters.
Command Snippets, Session Recordings, the theme toggle, notifications and Settings sit on the right.

Vaults, hosts and identities

A vault holds hosts, identities (reusable credentials), groups, port forwards and access profiles, encrypted with a password only you know. Open a vault and use the sidebar to switch between Hosts, Identities, Port Forwarding, Access Profiles, Known hosts, Snippets, Shell History and Vault settings.

Terminals

Double-click a host to connect. Each session is a tab, and you can:

split it into panes (Split panes) and type into all of them at once (Broadcast input);
search the scrollback (Find in terminal) and jump between commands (Command blocks);
reconnect in place when the connection drops (Reconnect & ended sessions).

Files, tunnels and recordings

Explore SFTP on a host opens a file browser tab. See SFTP file browser.
Port Forwarding in a vault tunnels TCP ports over SSH. See Port Forwarding.
Record in the terminal header captures a session for replay. See Session recording.

The status bar

At the bottom: the active host's OS, IP, CPU, memory and disk, SFTP transfer speed while files move, local and UTC time, and the keyboard button that opens Keyboard shortcuts.
