Command suggestions & shell history
Kubexer Terminal remembers the commands you run, per host, and offers them back as you type. You can also browse and search the full history.
Suggestions as you type
At a shell prompt, start typing:
- A greyed inline suggestion completes the line from your history. Press → to accept it.
- Press Tab to open the suggestion list, use ↑ / ↓ to move, then Tab to insert or Enter to run. Esc closes the list.
- Commands that failed the last time they ran are marked in the list.
- After
cd, suggestions are folders rather than commands.
Suggestions only appear at the shell prompt. They're paused while a full-screen program such as nano, vim or less owns the keyboard.
Shell History
Every command you run is saved, grouped by session, with the host it ran on (or Local) and when.
- In a terminal, click Shell History in the header to open the history panel beside it. Click a command to insert it into the active terminal.
- In any vault, open Shell History in the sidebar for the same list. It is global, the same under every vault, and stays reachable while a vault is locked.
Use Search history to filter, the delete button on a session to remove it, or Clear all to delete everything.
