Appearance & themes
Kubexer Terminal has two separate looks: the app (menus, pages, drawers) and the terminal itself. Change either without touching the other, for example a light app with a dark terminal.
App theme and font
Open Settings → Appearance:
- Font — the font for the whole app. Bundled fonts work offline.
- Theme — choose from more than thirty themes, light and dark, including Kubexer, Deepwater, dark, light, nord and dracula.
For a quick change, use the Pick theme button in the top bar.
Changes apply instantly and are remembered.
Terminal theme and font
Open Settings → Terminal. A Preview at the top shows a sample prompt and coloured output as you change things.
- Font — JetBrains Mono, SF Mono, Menlo, Monaco, Cascadia Code, Consolas, Fira Code, Source Code Pro, Ubuntu Mono or Courier New.
- Font size — a slider from 9 to 24 px.
- Theme — Kubexer Dark, Deepwater, Warp Dark, Termius Dark, Dracula, One Dark, Tokyo Night, Nord, Gruvbox Dark, Solarized Dark, Solarized Light and GitHub Light. Each card shows the theme's colours and whether it is dark or light.
The terminal theme also colours keyword highlighting, the snippet palette, command suggestions and the recording player.
Prompt
The same page sets how your shell prompt looks. See Shell prompt & root indicator.

Tips
- A font that isn't installed on this computer falls back to the system's monospace font.
- Text blurry after changing the font or size? Try turning off GPU acceleration.
